Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery and Eatery

Located in the heart of Peoria, Illinois, Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and beer lovers alike. This unique establishment is housed in a historic church building, adding to its charm and character.

The menu at Obed & Isaac’s offers a wide variety of options, ranging from loaded pierogies and pulled pork nachos to grilled caesar salad and chicken bacon ranch sandwiches. One standout dish that caught my eye is the bacon-wrapped smoked meatloaf, a delightful combination of ground lamb and sirloin wrapped in bacon and topped with mushroom gravy.

In addition to their delectable dishes, Obed & Isaac’s also boasts an impressive selection of craft beers, ciders, and cocktails. The mistletoe margarita and upside down brown beer come highly recommended by patrons. The restaurant’s spacious outdoor seating area provides a perfect setting to enjoy a drink or meal with friends and family.

Visited the Peoria area last week for business and a couple of people suggested we stop by Obed & Isaac's for fish tacos and pulled pork. Both were very good and paired with the Strawberry Blonde and Pride Amber Ale were set! To begin, I checked out their Website which is really well done and very helpful to a first-timer like myself. I knew before I arrived that I was in for a good time, especially after I saw several convincing reviews on Yelp! I was impressed with all the efforts to maintain the integrity of the architecture and highlight the beauty of the many stained glass windows. Not often you get to have a great meal and enjoy wonderful service in such an interesting setting. I can see why the Conn family wanted this property for their Peoria location. We visited on an early Thursday evening and the place was pretty crowded. Plenty of parking across the street at the public lot and the seating outside was very convenient as well. We had a great experience, well worth every penny and will return when business brings us back to the area. If I lived in the Peoria area this would be a favorite hangout of mine.

This restaurant is in an old church which is super unique. Food was super delicious. They offer the horseshoe and smaller ponyshoe which I recommend. Good beer selection. They also have a large outdoor area.
